Community.

Traveling to another country as a young adult can be scary. Intimidating. Challenging.

Over my experiences, I have found it is all easier with community. I couldn’t have imagined a better group of Razorbacks to travel and experience life abroad with. While we have been a lot to Dr. Miller at times, the girls on this trip were some of those most kind-hearted and caring girls I have ever met.

I watched as no one would leave another behind. I watched as we learned about one another and our personalities. I watched as we found out what we were good at when traveling and how to avoid metro fights. I watched as everyone found awe in the experience we had.

Dr. Miller and Ms. Vehige, our fearless leaders, are two of the most encouraging and supportive professors and mentors. No matter where we were, they challenged us, taught us, and ensured we were all safe.

While this trip may have been intimidating, nothing brings more comfort to the face of fear than a community supporting one another. I am ever so grateful to have been able to travel to Rome but also grateful for the community it gave me.
