Grafitti

It is everywhere. I mean everywhere. Around the city.

Signatures, colors, prints. All spray painted on nearly every building you walk by. While one may typically associate graffiti as vandalism, in Rome, I saw messages through the color on the walls. Most specifically this one:

Now, I know the message is straightforward. Te Amo. We all have the duty to do good.

A message we all should abide by. But to me, it is also more than just the words. It is symbolism that even in the things that are traditionally viewed as not ideal or “bad”, it can be used to convey messages of good.

Our stories we tell may not be traditional or the happiest concepts, but we can use these stories and mediums to speak to the hearts of others. Convey love and doing good, in all things.
